So recently I got to work with the mighty god THOR! Apparently his seamstress was no longer pleasing him and his favorite pants got ruined so he needed replacements ASAP!!!
So to start we picked up Dickie's Multi use pants:
Then we dyed them to the desired color:
Next was getting the stripping on the sides done. There are actually 2 stripes. One that is very red, and another of a almost pink color. There is a slight diagonal texture to the pink line which I mimicked.
There was a really neat detail near the waistband that I love, you will see it in later pictures.
Next was cutting out the pleather for the inner thigh and back of the pants. I got supper lucky and found a color that almost exactly matched what we were looking for!
Next I attached the pieces to the original pants. For this I had to take out the inseam completly to get the pieces lined up right. It looked so cool!!!
Since we were using unaltered pants I had to leave this little flap open so that THOR could get into the pants. I added a few buttons and snaps to hold it closed later. Here you can see the detail on the waistband too.
I hemmed the pants to fit and ta-da!!! Finished product!!!

Bossk Flightsuit

For the uninformed, Bossk is a bounty hunter from the Star Wars series. His outfit consists of a coverall, black vest, white vest, and a x-wing leg strap arrangement. As I am not going to be the one wearing this I only did the Coverall and the vest. However the black vest is seperate form the coverall. Now most would claim that the flight-suit should have a horizontal zipper across the chest, however I have found articals that claim the original suit used in the movies was an UNALTERED Windek flight suit, which has a vertical zipper up the front that is usually hidden by the x-wing strap arrangement. So this suit is made in the style of the original.

Purse Frenzy!

So my grandma found this patteren at the San Mateo Quilt show and asked if I woul dmake it for her. She got the fabric at the show as well. The flowers are amde from patternes I bought at Sew Many Quilts in Tracy, Ca

This a a Bossk Costume. I only made the Jumpsuit on this one. Lots of interesting details : zipper opening across the chest, tube opening at stomach level, white knee patches, faux vest made from pleather. There is a muscle suit under the jumpsuit.

atat driver Star Wars

This jumpsuit is for an Atat driver from the Star Wars Movies. This is the first one I had ever done and I am very proud of it. The lines matched up really good and it looks so clean! I'm so proud!

mini polo dress for toddler

My cousin movd out recently and left a few polo shirts behind...they were really nice brands and I wanted to rework them into mini dress's for a little girl I know... The same concept as my strawbery costume but on a smaller scale...I love how it turned out. I'm also going to dye it to a girly color. Mabie lavender? Or orange?

strawberry girl costume

So I loved this strawberry girl costume I found online but I couldn’t find any store that carried it....sooooo I made one!! I went to a thrift store and found a 3xl men’s red polo shirt. I cut the shoulders off and used bias binding to finish the top edge. I loved the collar so I made sure to incorporate that in the design. I took the side seams in a little and put some princess line darts in the back to give it some shape. I made this supper cute hairpiece to go with it. I hope you like it!
