Baby Blanket 2 !

It seems we are in the baby season!! One of my friends just had a bouncing baby girl not 2 days ago. I had made her this blanket for her baby shower several weeks ago but couldn’t make it to the party. Luckily I got the gift to her the day before she went into labor! Talk about good timing! Pooh Bear was the theme so here is what I came up with. Its made from flannel and meant to be laid down on the floor like a mat since it is kind of thick. I hope she likes it!

Memory Bears

Memory Bears

I was contacted by a client who wanted me to create some Memory Bears for her children from clothing belonging to her late mother who had passed away from cancer. I thought is was a very sweet idea and had a great time doing it. Here the results.

Baby Blanket

My cousin Sarah had a baby recently and I wanted to make her something unique as a gift. She had chosen "the Jungle" as the theme for the baby's room and I just happened to find this really cute print at the store. So I made a little baby quilt ( well not so little, its about 3.5 by 4 feet). I sewed around all the little squares on the print to really make it look quilted. It was a new experience for me to quilt something. And of course a challenge considering that home sewing machines were not made fro large projects like this. But as Tim Gunn says " Make it work", and I did. Everyone loved it, even though the corners were a little off. Lesson learned: be meticulous about the measurements!

Scrubs.....revamped

So my auntie is a vet tech and wanted me to do some scrubs for her. I went out and found a very simple pattern and did some alterations to the design, because omg it was boring. So here is the end result. Everyone loves the sleeve design. My auntie loves the design because she can wear her long sleeve turtle necks underneath and still have full maneuverability. These were done in March.
